Booked Hotel Fridhem for a pre-Christmas weekend with friends: a twin room for 3. Room simple, plenty of space, clean, beds comfortable. Bathroom functional, good shower, no curtain or (glass) wall, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet. Guests complained about breakfast: if you want a super extensive hot breakfast, you're out of luck, but what is offered is fine! The fresh rolls, the Keso, hard-boiled eggs, meat and other (sweet) toppings. The location is very convenient, around the corner from the hotel is the metro. There is also a supermarket below the hotel, and nearby several stores, coffee shops and a department store. The only downside was that the beds were only changed once during our 4-night stay (standard in this hotel), despite the fact that we indicated at reception (several times!) that this should be done daily. Still, I would book this hotel again if the price/quality remains realistic. Otherwise, Stockholm is a great city, from ABBA to Vikings!

Positive - Location: close to the Metro, supermarkets, few restaurants - Room: good area, IKEA style decoration but minimalist Negative - Welcoming: one day before our arrival I receive a text message asking to install an App that should be used as a ‘Mobile Key Account’. After several tries the App never worked in my mobile (iPhone) so I had to call the hotel on the day of my arrival. Surprisingly, the person who answered the call told us that he could meet me at the hotel to give me the keycard since I did not manage to install the App… ‘Meet me?’ I asked. But wasn’t he supposed to be at the hotel reception? Actually, no. Because there is no reception working at the hotel - General facilities: neither, there is a reception nor a lobby, lounge or dining room. Only an hall with a lift that takes you to the floor of your room - Bathroom: just totally non functional. No curtains or glass protection for the shower (everything around gets all wet, after). Not one single shelf to place the toiletries and the basin is just tiny. Not one cloth hanger to place a garment. - Sound proof: facing such a busy street as Sankt Eriksgatan the noise is constant - Breakfast: we paid for the breakfast but what we got was a voucher to use in a cafe located in a Gallery near by the hotel with a very limited menu in variety and - of course - quantity (just one croissant, one orange juice, one cup of coffee!) All in all this should not even be considered as an hotel because actually is just an apartment building with several rooms!

Tyst rum (mot innergården) som trots sin enkelhet kändes fräscht och trivsamt. Mycket trevlig personal som uppfyllde mina rumsönskemål samt lät mig checka in redan vid lunchtid. Bra standard och valuta för pengarna i förhållande till många andra liknande hotell i Stockholms innerstad. Kvalitén på frukosten var OK, men utbudet ganska begränsat.

Værelset er meget småt, er man to personer med kufferter vil man få det svært at finde plads til kufferterne. Jeg er normalt ikke så krævende når det gælder morgenmad, men her er morgenmaden er for ringe. Kedelige rundstykker, kolde æg og juice som smager af vand. Der står på hotellets egen beskrivelse at der er daglig rengøring, men i de fem dagen som vi boede på hotellet blev der ikke gjort rent, eller skiftet håndklæder en eneste gang. Der var et stort håndklæde til os hvert og et lille håndklæde til deling, det andet lille håndklæde måtte vi bruge til badeværelsetsgulvet, som blev oversvømmet efter badet. Men som det positive, så ligger hotellet lige over metroen.

Jag ska börja med det positiva: Sängarna var sköna och läget rätt centralt. Hotellet var inte bemannat dygnet runt och det ställde till problem för oss eftersom nyckelkorten slutade att fungera när vi skulle in efter kl 17:00. Otroligt enerverande eftersom jag var uppe i Stockholm och jobbade och hade en tid att passa. Vi fick till slut tag i någon per telefon och var sen tvungna att hämta hem en app som vi sen kunde låsa upp vår dörr med. Tråkig frukost, det enda varma som fanns var ägg, annars så var det inte mycket mer spännande än det man har hemma.
